About me

Smt Sarmistha Sen. received her M.A. degree in Political Science from University of Calcutta in the year 1990, securing First Class marks. She joined the West Bengal Education Service in the year 1996 as a lecturer in Political Science at Durgapur Government College. She is serving Lady Brabourne College since 2001.
Apart from a book on political theory, Smt Sen. has written on various subjects like suicide terrorism, autonomy of international relations, theories of international relations (in Bengali), nationalism of M.N.Roy and Gandhi in several books. She has also contributed articles on the plight of dalit Christians and subaltern people in several journals. She has presented papers at various forums on subjects like concept of Democrcy, civil rights movement, Nationalism, Gandhi ,M.N. Roy and occasionally chaired sessions at seminar.
